The 1st General Conference of ZHYCO Assam at Boro-Nianglo (Nimlo)

The 1st General Conference of ZHYCO Assam held at Boro-Nianglo (Nimlo) village, Dima Hasao, Assam on 24th and 25th December 2017. Conference day 1 Chief Guest Shri. Ramkuiwangbe Newme, Patron,Zeliangrong Heraka Association North East India, Guest of Honour Shri Ngaukambe Kuame, President Zeliangrong Heraka Association North East India and Shri. Pauramduing Riame, Vice President, Zeliangrong Heraka Association North East India. Conference Day 2 Chief Guest Shri. Paudamying Riame, Executive Member North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, Guest of Honour Shri. Hailangkambe Kuame, MAC NCH Autonomous Council.The Conference was meaningful especially for Heraka Youth which bought all the youths together in a best platform and giving a space for the speakers to share and ones own opinions for the betterment of Heraka in Zeliangrong society. It is also believed that this Conference brings love and peace amoung Heraka youth.

NLZSU Constructed a lifeline bridge for Nianglo Luangria over Jenam River

Nianglo Luangria Zeme Students Union, (NLZSU), Assam constructed a new Hanging bridge near Laisong Bazaar over Jenam River. Last year during heavy rainfall damaged the main bridge which was constructed by BRTF, The Vehicles and people of Nianglo Luangria managed to cross the River during winter (dry season) but now the water level comes up after the Cyclone Fani hit the areas with heavyrain pour. This bridge will be the main lifeline/communication for Nianglo Luangria during this rainy season to Laisong Market, Mahur, Haflong etc... Knowing that, without this bridge people of the area's will stop communicating, so, they (NLZSU) Constructed New Hanging bridge for communication of the people living in Nianglo Luangria. The Bridge construction was completed in two working days under the Presidentship of Shri. Kiliahungbe Nriame. People from villages of Nianglo Luangria turns up to help. Many well-wishers also donated for the construction.
